Term 3 ICT Coordinator Meetings

iWeb 2 - Feature Update Rumours

iWeb 2 users will be able to update their iWeb site from any web browser, as well as sending site updates from e-mail, and blog text and photos from their mobile phone to their iWeb site.
 
OASIS Continuity Project - Update

The OASIS Thin Client Pilot is part of the OASIS Continuity Project, and will provide schools with continued access to OASIS. This InPrincipal update provides further details abdout the progress of the project. (DET Intranet access required).
 
Ellen's Place - Student Intranet Site

A sample student Intranet site, created with iWeb - a great tool for publishing web pages on school Intranets, for both teachers and students. Integrates with other iLife applications for easy publishing of web pages, photo albums, e-portfolios and podcasts to your OS X Sites folder.
 
iLife Tutorials

Learn the basics of the iLife suite with these tutorials. These short Quicktime movies provide assistance for novices to get started with iPhoto, GarageBand, iWeb, iMovie, iDVD and iTunes.
 
Latest NSWTF Info on Student Reports

The NSW Teachers Federation is advising schools to "disengage from all implementation processes, including any DET or Board of Studies training activities, that relate to the State and Federal governments' flawed student reporting system". This site includes a discussion forum about student reporting, a copy of the fax sent to schools, and a podcast from the NSWTF president.

Some great stuff here for OS X network administrators ......

Server Cleanup
- allows you to correct users' Home folder permissions, redirect caches to local HDs, distribute/remove files to/from Home folders, etc;

Purge Homes
- cleans up the Home folders of deleted users;

KidPixFolderRedir
- redirects the default Kid Pix 4 saving location to the user's Home folder, rather than the Kid Pix folder.
