Web Services Discontinued - NSWTF Info- (Monday 28th November 2005)
NSWTF information about the agreement with the DET cease the rollout of the current Web Services project. (At the time of writing, no information has been published about this matter at the DET news site or the DET Web Services site.)

Federal Grants to Schools- (Friday 25th November 2005)
The Federal Minister for Education, Science and Training has approved grants for round one (2005) of the Investing in Our Schools program. This site lists all schools that have had grants approved, their project, and the amount of the grant.
2006 DET Schools Web Design Awards- (Friday 25th November 2005)
The theme for the Annual School Web Awards for 2006 is H2O.There are fabulous technology prizes to be won by participating schools, including interactive whiteboards, data projectors and software.
DET Web Services is no longer!- (Tuesday 22nd November 2005)
The NSW DET and the NSWTF have agreed to implement "a secure e-mail and internet service", which will no longer be referred to as Web Services, and no longer includes many of the contentious "features" of the previously touted system.

A copy of the notes from our recent workshops - Use your intranet to share students' electronic folios. Students' music, movies, presentations, etc, can all be accessed through a web bowser on an OSX Intranet.

Getting Organised for 2006- (Wednesday 9th November 2005)
The first day for this Mac OSX network admin workshop at Kiama PS filled very quickly. Two more workshop days have been organised - Bundanoon PS on Monday 28th and Kiama PS on Tuesday 29th November. Mac OS X 10.4.3 Released- (Tuesday 1st November 2005)
A stack of updates and patches for server and client versions of Tiger. Either download the installer, or use Software Update. Before updating, check out MacFixit for backup procedures and any issues resulting from the updates, particularly with 3rd party apps and hardware.
