iPhoto 4.0.1 Update

Includes a number of performance improvements, including faster importing, smoother image viewing, easier Rendezvous photo sharing, and improved display of thumbnail images in your photo library.

Where's Collie?

Collie, the garden gnome, is planning to travel around Australia visiting a variety of significant sites in every state. Your school can join the competition to track Collie's itinerary, and use the clues to discover Collie's location. This looks like a great project for Stage 2 (Australia You're Standing In It). Run by the Country Area Program. Register now for commencement in Term 2.

NSWTF Opposes DET Web Services Project

Despite an upbeat media release on the television news last night, the DET apparently has not reached any industrial agreement with the NSWTF regarding the introduction of the Web Services Project in NSW schools.

Macromedia MX 2004 Updates

Macromedia have released these updaters which significantly improve the previously atrocious startup times for Dreamweaver MX 2004, along with improvements for the other Studio MX 2004 products.

Mac OS X 10.3.3 Update

TinkerTool 3.21 (Mac OS X)

Latest update for this popular Mac utility. Tinkertool is now an application (previously a System Preference pane) that gives you access to additional preference settings built into Mac OS X.

iMac Firmware Update

Sharing Your Photos on a Mac OS X Intranet (pdf - 700k)

File Blaster (Mac OS X)

Use File Blaster to distribute files to multiple students' Home folders on a Mac OS X server. You can send a template to each student's Documents folder, or their Sites folder. Read Wazza's File Blaster QuickStart notes for step by step instructions. (Freeware).

Wollongong Schools - AntiVirus Page (Win)

Download the "patches" and the "fixes" for the latest round of Welchia B & C worms. A CD is available for borrowing from the Wollongong Area Office (for DET schools) which will automatically install the (almost!) up-to-date patches, as well as Symantec AntiVirus (SAV) and Windows service patches.
