campaign to save the Styx Forest in Tasmania. Activists have set
up camp in a tree platform, built 65 metres above ground. This weblog

DET
Director General Sacked (SMH report)

Jan McClelland
was yesterday removed as Director-General of the DET after less than
18 months in the $330,000-a-year job. She has been replaced by Andrew
Cappie-Wood, Director-General of the Department of Housing. See also
