DET Rollout Info Now Available (DET Intranet access reqd)

The Phase 7 rollout provides DET schools with the remainder of the 22,500 additional computers promised by the NSW government in its last term. The Information package provides details about suppliers, and the specifications of their rollout equipment.

Some rollout specials include:
* ASI rollouts include FREE installation of computer and lockdown to desk.
* Apple offer a FREE digital video camera with each 5 units.

The DET SNEP project provided schools with funds to carry out network rectification work, generally upgrading active network equipment. This site provides support resources, and now includes a downloadable Completion Advice form, which must be returned to verify that the rectification work has been completed. (DET Intranet access required).

OS X 10.2.6 Update

Whew!

X for Teachers Program

Apple Australia has announced the X for Teachers program which will provide all K-12 and qualifying Australian teachers with a free copy of Mac OS X v10.2 when they join the X for Teachers program.

DET DNS Changes
(Thursday 1st May 2003)
The DET has change their Domain Name Server addresses. All schools will need to update the settings on their network computer, to maintain access to the Internet.
