Dennis Yarrow's Student Tracking Database (45k - zip) (Thursday 26th September 2002) Download this Student Tracking Database, recently shared with teachers at an Illawarra teachers meeting. This is a simple, easy to use starting point for schools who may be just getting started with this type of database. (You will need FileMaker Pro 3.0 - or later - as supplied to all schools on the Claris MESL CD in 1997). Thumbnail Web Pages with iPhoto (430k - pdf) (Monday 23rd September 2002) Easily share photos with the whole school, using Mac OSX's iPhoto to create thumbnail web pages on your school intranet. Latest Apple Updates (Friday 20th September 2002) Download now - Apple have released Mac OSX 10.2.1 updater (17Mb) and iTunes 3.0.1 (7Mb). Stop IE Auto-Updating (Tuesday 10th September 2002) Do web browsers in your school keep going to Microsoft instead of your chosen home page? It is easy to turn off Microsoft's auto update "feature" in the Windows version of Internet Explorer. (Not necessary for Mac). Netscape 7 Available Now! (Tuesday 10th September 2002) Is it too late? This version of Netscape seems to be an improvement over previous versions, and may be essential for Mac schools using a pac file with Mac OSX. (This download is 18Mb, from the OSX Downloads site).
