Class Markbook

The Class Markbook is an MS Excel spreadsheet that records results for assessment tasks for a single class, or for multiple classes in a stage/grade.

The Class Markbook calculates and weights the marks that have been entered, converts the raw scores to a percentage, and provides rank, average, standard deviation and A-E grading information for the range of marks entered.

Results are calculated and displayed for individual classes, and these results are summarised and ranked across a stage/grade (if required), for up to 6 classes that have completed a common set of assessment tasks.

This is an unsupported spreadsheet - mostly untested - use with care!

A spreadsheet markbook for a single KLA, with provision for assessment in multiple strands within the KLA:
•	Up to six classes in a grade/stage;
•	Up to six strands in the KLA;
•	Up to four assessment tasks per strand;
•	Assessment tasks weighted within each strand;
•	Results from each strand weighted within the KLA;
•	A-E grading in the KLA
•	Students ranked in the KLA.
•	Ranking per class & per stage/grade

**	Some cells in the Class Markbook (Strands) contain formulas that are not supported by Excel 2003/2004, because they are too long. Even if you use the MS File Converter, the formulas will still not be compatible with older versions of Excel. To use this spreadsheet you will need Excel 2007 (PC) or Excel 2008 (Mac) installed on your computer.
