The Student Web Index Generator (SWIG) creates a simple index of students' (and teachers') web sites on your school Intranet.

The SWIG is a spreadsheet. Student names are entered (or imported) into the spreadsheet, then exported in an HTML format to create your Index page.

Your Index page is then linked to your school's Intranet site.

SWIG 35 (zip - 670k)

The Student Web Index Generator (SWIG) creates a web index page which provides links to student web pages on an OS X web server (server/~username). Provides for up to 35 users for a class index page. (In MS Excel format.)

SWIG 250 (zip - 694k)

As above, but provides space for up to 250 students on one page, in 2 or 4 columns. Suitable for generating an index page for a Year group in a large school, or all students in a small school.

 

Web Index on Existing Server (863k -pdf)

Use Passenger to import the users from your existing Mac OS X Server, then export those users to an Intranet index page using SWIG.
