Overview

As with any technology infrastructure in a school environment, an Intranet is only of any value if it is able to support the curriculum, and contribute to an enhanced learning environment.

Below are links to some sample frameworks (Intranet templates), suitable for use in a school, which may be of use in creating an Intranet environment in your school.

Somewhere PS - Templates

Somewhere PS is an example of a school Intranet. The sample sites below can be used as a template, or as a starting point for an intranet at your school. There are three "flavours" provided below as examples, depending on which editing software you prefer to use:



Templates can be downloaded from each of the iWeb and Mozilla sample sites above. The Web 2.0 example provides some ideas of how you may be able to use a WordPress blog or similar software in an Intranet environment. The Mozilla template can also be used with other html editors, such as Dreamweaver and FrontPage.
