If you are the only person who uses you computer, why not set the computer to skip straight past the logon window...
- Click Start > Run
- Type CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2 (use upper-case). Click OK.
- Select the user account, to which you want to automatically logon, from the list.
- Untick the Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer option. Click OK.
- Enter the user account password.
Note: This doesn't work for the built-in Administrator in
Windows XP Home - you'll receive an error message.
