Macrium provides a free version of it's commercial Reflect software, designed to image and restore Windows computers (XP, Vista, 7).

Make a Disk Image

Use the free version of Macrium Reflect to create a disk image of your Windows XP or Vista disk on an external disk drive, or a share point on your network.

Build a rescue CD

Create a Linux boot disk to build a rescue disk to start up your computer.

Restore your disk

Use your Linux rescue disk to restore your PC using your Reflect disk image.

 

Build a BartPE rescue disk

The info above uses a Linux CD. This option creates a bootable restoration disk using Windows system files. Useful if the Linux CD doesn't recognise some of your hardware.

Create a Bootable USB Stick

Make a bootable Linux usb stick to use to restore your disk, rather than a CD.
